State Game Land (SGL) 244 contains 4,867.60 acres and is located in Jefferson County in the Pennsylvania Game Commission's Northwest Region and in Wildlife Management Unit 2D. Access is via SR 322, SR 2025, SR 310, SR 2010, T-450, T-710, T-538 and T-475. There are 15 parking areas which are easily accessible from the roadways listed above and all gated, interior roads are open to foot travel with one open to ATV travel for handicap hunters with the required permit. Sandy Like Creek is the major drainage for the area with Camp Run, O'Donnell Run, Schoolhouse Run, Trout Run, and associated tributaries providing the drainage for the SGL.
